Poliomyelitis in Equatorial Guinea
25 Mar 2014
A case of wild polio virus (WPV1) was reported this week in Equatorial Guinea, this is the first case to be reported from this country since 1999 and had onset of paralysis on 28 January 2014. Genetic sequencing indicates that the isolated virus is linked to transmission in Cameroon.
