Avian Influenza (H7N9) (Human) in China

On 14 October 2015, the Chinese National Health and Family Planning Commission notified WHO of 2 new laboratory-confirmed cases of human infection with avian influenza A (H7N9).
The cases are a 55-year-old female and a 53-year-old male from the municipalities of Huzhou and Jinhua in Zhejiang province. Both report exposure to poultry and live poultry markets.
Advice for Travellers
Travellers experiencing severe flu like symptoms within 10 days of returning from China, should contact their GP and inform them of their recent travel to China.
