Pertussis in Canada

On the 17 October 2016 the Nunavut Department of Health issued a public health advisory notice advising that that a pertussis (whooping cough) outbreak has spread throughout the territory, and is a serious and active health concern. The advisory notice did not detail the number of cases that are associated with the current outbreak.
Advice for Travellers
It should be confirmed that children have received their recommended doses of pertussis vaccine in accordance with the UK schedule. The JCVI recommends pertussis boosters for pregnant women, but not for other adults in the UK.
