Changes to Colombia Malaria Map and Advice
24 Jan 2017
The malaria advice and map for Colombia has recently been updated. This was following consideration by the Scottish Malaria Advisory Group (SMAG) after an extensive trawl of the available data was undertaken.
Malaria risk is throughout the year. Risk is present in most municipalities but is highest in departments of Choco, Antioquia, Cordoba, Narino and the Amazon (Vichada, Guaviare, Vaupes, Guainia and Amazonas). There is no risk at high altitude and in the cities of Bogota and Cartagena.
See the malaria section of the Colombia country record for further details.
