It is more than three years since circulation of polio in Guinea. Therefore polio vaccination is no longer recommended for travellers visiting this country.
Advice for Travellers
Polio is spread mainly through person to person contact via the faecal-oral route. Particularly in areas where sanitation is poor. Travellers should take strict precautions with food, water and personal hygiene.
